If you've ever watched your kids beg to go back to Slick City Action Park and thought, "man, I wish there was one closer to where we live" — well, Round Rock folks, this one's for you.
Slick City, the indoor action park that basically turns a giant warehouse into a slippery playground of slides, foam pits, and general chaos, is reportedly scoping out Round Rock for what would be its second location in the greater Austin area. So yeah, the north side of the metro might be getting its very own slice of the action.
For those who haven't been dragged there yet by a seven-year-old, Slick City is one of those places that somehow manages to be fun for adults too — think massive slides, obstacle courses, and enough energy to make you feel like you need a nap by 3pm. The original Austin-area spot has been a pretty big hit, so the expansion move makes a lot of sense when you think about how fast Round Rock and the surrounding suburbs have been growing.
No official lease signing or opening date has been announced yet, so we're still in the "eyes on the space" phase of things. But if you're a Round Rock parent, you might want to start mentally preparing your weekends now.
We'll keep an eye on this one as it develops — because honestly, another indoor activity spot that can survive an August afternoon in Central Texas sounds like a public service at this point.
